A major milestone was achieved Tuesday March 14 at 16.23.42 hours, where we produced the first Bose-Einstein condensate in Scandinavia.
The animation shows the density distribution after 25 milliseconds time-of-flight, as the atomic cloud is cooled across the critical temperature at 500 nK. At the critical temperature, the cloud consists of approximately 1.5 million Rubidium-87 atoms.
