Two theoretical postdoctoral positions in the above areas are opened for well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientists who wish to enhance their scientific career in a stimulating surroundings. The successful candidates will be members of the research group led by Prof. Jakub Zakrzewski at Marian Smoluchowski Institute of Physics, Jagiellonian University./he involved in the research activities (current and emerging) within the scope of grants of National Science Centre (Poland): "Many-body localization - cold atoms approach" and "Periodically driven many-body systems" on various aspects of many body physics mainly, but not restricted to, cold atom settings. The successful candidates will interact with other members of the group (two master students, four PhD students, three post-docs) as well as with other Department members. Duration: 12 months expandable to up to 30 and 36 months, respectively. Possible starting dates from 1 April 2017. Monthly salary is about 5000 polish zloties. Note that costs of living in Poland are significantly lower than in the "old" Europe. The salary covers also vacation period and a basic health insurance. Desired skills and experience PhD in theoretical physics cold atoms/quantum optics/condensed matter, ability to work in a group, programming skills (Python, C, Mathematica), table tennis skills considered as an advantage..
