Postdoctoral Research Associate - Ultracold RbCs molecules

position expired
Durham University, UK
A two-year postdoctoral research position is available within the atomic and molecular physics (AtMol) research section of the Department of Physics. The position is part of a 4-year EPSRC funded project lead by Dr. Simon Cornish to investigate an ultracold quantum gas of polar RbCs molecules. Building on an existing apparatus and our recent realization of a dual-species Rb-Cs condensate, the successful candidate will be expected to take a lead role in: 1. The creation of RbCs Feshbach molecules, 2. The development of a new laser system for STIRAP transfer to the ground state, 3. The study of ultracold polar molecules. Further details of the project are available on the group website (URL below). Any informal enquiries or requests for further details should be directed to Dr. Simon Cornish (email: s.l.cornish@durham.ac.uk).
