Postdoctoral Research Associate of Physics (AMQO)

The Department of Physics at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position that expects to begin January 10, 2024. We seek an individual with expertise in experimental Atomic, Molecular, and Quantum Optics (AMQO).
The successful candidate is expected to: lead the experimental development of atom-based electric and magnetic field diagnostics for charged particle beams; help supervising graduate and undergraduate students; communicate results of their research in scientific publication and at conferences; support the activities of the William and Mary AMQO and nuclear physics groups as well as collaborators at the Jefferson Lab. The position is for one year, renewable for the second year based on performance and funding availability.
