The Department of Physics at the University of Texas at Dallas seeks to fill a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Theoretical Condensed Matter / Cold Atomic Physics. The candidate will work with Prof. Chuanwei Zhang in the Department of Physics. The position is available immediately. The candidate is expected to work in one of the following areas: spin-orbit coupled ultra-cold atomic gases, topological superconductors in nanostructures, topological insulators, and 2D graphene-like materials. A Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field is required. The initial appointment will be one year, but is renewable for another one or two years, depending on the availability of funding and mutual agreement. Candidates with research background in topological condensed matter physics, or cold atomic physics (especially the BEC-BCS crossover physics) are preferred.
