The Atomic, Mesoscopic and Optical Physics (AMOP) Group of the Department of Physics, University of Cambridge, invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate to work on cutting edge experiments on the non-equilibrium many-body physics of ultracold atomic gases. The work will focus on studies of homogeneous quantum gases, which have recently been pioneered in AMOP. The post requires extensive experience in experimental atomic physics and good knowledge of the theory of atomic physics. Knowledge of the theory of many-body physics is also highly desirable. The appointment will be on the Research Associate scale at a level determined by skills and experience. The position has a starting date of 1st October 2016, but can be negotiated.
