Postdoc in Experimental Ultra-cold Atoms & Molecules
position expired
University of Otago, New Zealand
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellowship to carry out experimental investigations into fundamental issues relating to ultracold atoms and molecules, Bose-Einstein condensates, and quantum-degenerate Fermi gases. This research programme is within the newly formed Jack Dodd Centre for Photonics & Ultracold Atoms, and involves developing new tools for producing ultracold heteronuclear molecules and studying the properties of quantum-degenerate polar gases. The successful candidate will be expected to play a key role in the research programme and assist with the supervision of graduate students in the group. Applicants must have a PhD, or postdoctoral experience, in experimental laser and atomic physics, and a demonstrated ability to perform world-class research in this area. The appointment is for a period of up to two years.
