· The Center for Research in Optics and Photonics (CEPOF) is a Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center (RIDC) supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation and hosted by the University of São Paulo's São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC-USP) in Brazil, and is seeking outstanding and motivated candidates of any nationality for two distinct one-year postdoctoral positions in the following areas:

1. Experimental Physics with Cold Atoms

Areas of interest: Quantum turbulence; thermodynamics of cold atoms; atomic clocks with cold atoms.

The project focuses on investigating novel phenomena in cold atomic systems, including Bose-Einstein Condensates of Na, Rb, and Time and Frequency Metrology in Cs.

2. Biophotonics

Areas of interest: Fundamentals and applications of photodynamic therapy

Each selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Fellowship (https://fapesp.br/en/postdoc).

Requirements: PhD in Physics, Engineering, or related fields.

The position is open to both Brazilian and international candidates. The selected researcher will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Fellowship of R$ 12,000.00 per month and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual fellowship amount.
