Qualifications:
Ph.D or Equivalent years of Experience: Atomic Physics (Experimental); Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Industrial experience is not necessary but advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge:
Opto-mechanics
Optics designs
Table-top experimental systems
Basic electronics design
Strong writing and communication skills
Laser cooling skills a plus
Project management experience useful
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in developing cold and ultracold atom miniaturized systems
Design components and subsystems
Ensure timely execution of contract deliverables
Writing proposals and presentations
Transition research projects into product development
Research new materials and manufacturing methods
Ensure quality and integrity of products
Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
