PhD/Postdoctoral Position – Heteronuclear Cold Molecules

position expired
University of São Paulo - Brazil
The project goal is to produce a cold sample of KRb molecules in an optical dipole trap and study their interactions. All the experiments use laser cooled and dipole trapped samples of atoms. The research methods are ultrahigh vacuum, frequency stabilized diode laser systems, far off resonance dipole trapping, photoassociation, photoionization, and ion detection. The project involves experimental measurements at the cutting edge of atomic, molecular and optical physics. Please contact Professor Luis G. Marcassa, University of São Paulo (marcassa@ifsc.usp.br). Send CV and brief statement about future goals. This is a new position and it will remain open until filled. Starting date is negotiable.
