Job opening for an experimentalist in degenerate Fermi gases
position expired
Centre for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore, Singapore
The Centre for Quantum Techniologies in Singapore (http://www.quantumlah.org/) invites immediate applications by physicists with expertise in experiments with ultra-cold quantum gases who would join a team that builds up a new experiment with ultra-cold fermion atoms (6Li) in partnership with the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). Subject to final approval, the work on the project will commence in August 2008. The successful candidates would have earned a PhD through experimental research with ultra-cold atoms and would have post-doctoral experience in the field (Bose-Einstein condensates or, preferably, degenerate Fermi gases). Terms and conditions of the appointment are competitive and will be negotiated in accordance with the candidates’ skills and track records. Initial appointment is expected to be for two years and renewable for another two years. Tenure-track or tenured appointment, jointly with the NUS Department of Physics, is an option.
The applications should consist of a single-file pdf document containing a list of publications, CV, and the contact information of references and should be sent by email to Berge Englert (cqtebg@nus.edu.sg). Applications will be evaluated immediately after receipt.
