The Department of Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara is seeking candidates for a tenure-track assistant professor position in either experimental condensed matter physics or experimental atomic, molecular and optical (AMO) physics, with an appointment to start in Fall of 2017. The department has extensive cross-disciplinary work with colleagues in the College of Engineering, Biological Sciences, and Chemistry, which is enhanced by the presence of the California NanoSystems Institute, the Materials Research Laboratory, the Institute for Terahertz Science and Technology, and the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics.
