The focus of the work will be on non-equilibrium many-body phenomena in quantum-degenerate Bose gases with tuneable interactions. The post requires extensive experience in experimental atomic physics, documented in an excellent publication track-record. Deep theoretical knowledge of atomic and quantum many-body physics is also expected. A PhD in Physics, Engineering or a related discipline is required.
The appointment will be on the Research Associate scale (currently £27,578-£35,938 per annum) at a level determined by skills and experience. Expenses for travel associated with the project are provided.
The position has a tentative starting date of 1 April 2013. The limit of tenure is 3 years.
