Recent advances in high-resolution atomic spectroscopy have opened new avenues for strengthening the interplay between atomic and nuclear physics. By combining precision atomic measurements with state-of-the-art quantum electrodynamic (QED) calculations, researchers now have the potential to determine nuclear charge radii, magnetic moments, and other fundamental properties with renewed accuracy, while providing stringent tests of bound-state QED.
This satellite meeting will bring together leading experimentalists and theorists to discuss the latest progress in precision spectroscopy of simple atoms, ions, and exotic systems. Special emphasis will be placed on emerging techniques, interdisciplinary collaborations, and future opportunities to probe nuclear structure through atomic physics, thereby further bridging these two closely connected fields.
This satellite meeting is hosted by the School of Physics and Information Technology, Shaanxi Normal University.
