Quantum Optics VII

The conference organized by Center for Theoretical Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences and Warsaw University, sponsored by National Laboratory for Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, will be held in Zakopane, Poland, June 8-12 2009. The arrival date is the 8-th of June 2009, lectures will start on the 9-th of June 2009. The departure is planned on the 12-th of June 2009 after lunch.

This is the seventh conference of the cycle, the previous one was held in Krynica, Poland in 2005. This time the main subject of the conference will be:

Quantum Engineering of Atoms and Photons.

The meeting will be focused on the physics of ultracold quantum gases, which is one of the most intensively developing areas of the modern atomic, molecular and optical physics. Special attention will also be given to quantum information processing, both from theoretical and experimental point of view, including possible realizations in ultracold quantum gases.

The conference will consist of invited lectures and poster sessions with a special session devoted to the precise measurements. Competition for the best students poster will be held and sponsored by the Journal of Physics B.
