MPAGS Summer School Granada

For the second time the Midlands Physics Alliance Graduate School in collaboration with the University of Granada organises a summer school with the title “Quantum Matter: Foundations and Applications”. It will feature tutorial style lectures introducing themes of broad interest in the areas of cold atoms and molecules, quantum optics and condensed matter physics, quantum information and quantum interference and precision measurements providing a basis for new members of the community and deepening the knowledge of more experienced ones. Additional shorter seminar style talks will give a flavour of current trends in the field. All lectures will be given by leading scientists from around the world, but participants are strongly encouraged to present and discuss their own research, during a dedicated poster session. Invited speakers: • Charles Adams (Durham) • Kai Bongs (Birmingham) • Philippe Bouyer (Bordeaux) • Sebastian Diehl (Innsbruck) • Selim Jochim (Heidelberg) • Anna Sanpera (Barcelona) • Klaus Sengstock (Hamburg). The level of the lectures will be aimed at graduate students and young post-docs.
