The 19th version of the 2010 Annual meeting LASER PHYSICS WORKSHOP (LPHYS-2010) will be held from July 5 to July 9 in the city of Foz do Iguaçu – Brazil.

Continuing the tradition of LPHYS workshops, the meeting will present an outstanding program composed of Plenary Speakers, invited talks and contributed oral and poster presentations. The workshop will cover a broad range of fields related to laser physics. The meeting is organized in 9 Scientific Seminars organized by eminent scientists of the international community: Modern Trends in Laser Physics; Strong Field and Attosecond Physics; Biophotonics; Physics of lasers; Nonlinear Optics and Spectroscopy; Physics of Cold Trapped Atoms; Quantum Information Science; Nanophotonics and Fiber Lasers.

The City of Iguaçu is the border of three countries: Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay and it is the home of the famous waterfalls ( Iguazu Falls) considered one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

The LPHYS’10 meeting will be held at Hotel Carima. Together with the wonderful meeting with intense modern science, we shall have opportunity to explore the tradition of the local food and natural places, through excursions and activities organized by the local Organizing Committee.
