FINESS 2015 - Finite Temperature Non-Equilirium Superfluid Systems

The FINESS cycle of bi-annual meetings has been bringing together the experts in the field of non-equilibrium thermal behaviour of ultracold atom, polariton, and other superfluid systems since 2007. It covers phenomena such as defects, thermalization, quantum quenches, metastable states, quantum transport, and dissipative dynamics of open quantum systems. The meeting will focus on the topic from two primary angles: (1) Understanding the physics behind the new phenomena seen in superfluids and quantum gases when one leaves equilibrium in the many-body regime; (2) Hammering out and comparing numerical methods to accurately simulate the quantum dynamics of such systems ... a task that is still far from complete. The 2015 edition will be held on the Baltic coast in Poland.
