Benasque Winter School on Ultracold Quantum Many-Body Systems

We are delighted to announce the second edition of the Winter School on Ultracold Quantum Many-Body Systems. The School will take place on 2-6 February 2026 at the Centro de Ciencias de Benasque Pedro Pascual, in Benasque, a village located right next to the highest peaks of the Spanish Pyrenees.

The goal of the school is to introduce young students and researchers to key themes and developments in the field of ultracold quantum many-body systems, as well as to promote the interaction between young and established members of this rapidly-growing community. The lectures at the School will cover topics such as:

· Few- and many-body physics
· Quantum simulation
· Ultracold molecules
· Rydberg atoms in optical tweezers
· Topology
· Lattice gauge theories
· 2D quantum gases
· Strongly correlated fermions

The lectures will be given by our invited speakers:

Simon Cornish (Durham University)
Fabian Grusdt (LMU Munich)
Thierry Lahaye (Institut d'Optique)
Hélène Perrin (Université Sorbonne Paris Nord)
Peter Schauss (University of Hamburg)
Nur Ünal (University of Birmingham)
Félix Werner (Laboratoire Kastler Brossel)
Torsten Zache (University of Innsbruck)
Johannes Zeiher (LMU Munich)

The event will be supported by the Catalonia Quantum Academy (CQA).

The deadline for registration is 10 December 2025.
