25th Winter School in Theoretical physics: Condensed Matter Physics and Quantum Information with Cold Atoms

In recent years a new interdisciplinary field has emerged. The field incorporates atomic and molecular physics, quantum optics and quantum information, as well as theoretical condensed matter physics. Microscopic observation of cold trapped clouds of bosonic and fermionic atoms and molecules where body quantum dynamics are controlled led to significant developments and progress in related fields. The theoretical counterpart has been the development of concepts of quantum computing, quantum simulators and quantum communications; the notion of entanglement in quantum information and a greater understanding of the correlated condensed matter systems. The 25th physics school brings together lecturers across the breadth of these scientific disciplines, covering topics from theoretical and experimental atomic physics, to theoretical aspects in quantum information and condensed matter physics.
