The Research Laboratory of Electronics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) seeks a Research Scientist to work with ultracold bosonic atoms in optical lattices as part of the Center for Ultracold Atoms. Specific responsibilities will include management of a DARPA (U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) project on optical lattice emulation.

Requirements: a Ph.D. in physics and three years of postdoctoral appointments. Must have a strong background and experience in creating Bose-Einstein condensates and performing experiments in optical lattices. A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals is required.
