EGAS 2006 - European Group for Atomic Systems Meeting

08 Jun 2006 - 11 Jun 2006
Island of Ischia, Naples, Italy

What is EGAS

EGAS, the European Group for Atomic Systems (formerly Atomic Spectroscopy) is a section of the Atomic and Molecular Division of the European Physical Society. EGAS conferences are broadly based events and cover all aspects of atoms including their interactions with photons and allied fields. The conference programme consists of invited talks (Plenary Lectures, Progress Reports), contributed talks, and poster sessions. The 38th Conference in the series will be held in Hotel Continental Terme on the island of Ischia (close to Naples, Italy) 7-10 June 2006.

Scope of the Conferences

We encourage contributions from a wide range of fields such as atomic structure, photoionization dynamics, precision measurement and spectroscopy, cold atoms and molecules as well as topics such as anti-atoms, atoms and small molecules in high fields, instrumentation and spectroscopic applications in e.g., laboratory plasmas, astronomy and astrophysics, environmental monitoring, medicine, process control, etc.
